Moraine Park Foundation
application form reference form
Purpose: To solicit, receive and administer gifts, bequests and property for the development, promotion and benefit of Moraine Park Technical College.
To support the Moraine Park Technical College Mission to build and maintain a competitive workforce, the Moraine Park Foundation was established to ensure that the College is available to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. The unmet need of Moraine Park students alone is nearly $3 million each year. The Foundation, through scholarships, can make a significant and positive difference in the lives of students.
Since its establishment in 1976 as a tax exempt 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization, the Moraine Park Foundation has awarded over $1,000,000 in scholarships thanks to the generosity of our many donors.
Donor gifts, accepted at any time, can be designated as unrestricted or restricted funds as directed by the donor. Unrestricted gifts: used to support current projects, priorities and students in any of the College’s program areas. Restricted gifts: designated by a donor toward a specific activity or purpose or to an endowment fund.
Donations to the Foundation benefit some of the following activities:
- Scholarships: To help students begin or continue their education, scholarships are awarded on the basis of need, academic standing, leadership and program area.
- Alumnus of the Year: Award presented at the College’s commencement ceremony to an alumnus who has made significant contributions to the College and their community since graduation. The 2008 Alumnus of the Year is Ron Ford.
