Training Grants Boost Worker Productivity

Workforce Advancement Training (WAT) grants support investments in incumbent worker training programs.  Training programs developed under these grants will help increase employee skills, transform business processes, improve quality and boost productivity to improve overall business competitiveness.  As part of the economic stimulus package, there are additional training dollars and incentives available through this grant program to help employers fund customized training programs.

Moraine Park Technical College is currently seeking companies interested in obtaining WAT grant funding to support their workforce development needs. Grants may be written to serve single or multiple employers.

Training will be provided by Moraine Park Technical College and can address any combination of academic, occupational or employability skill development. Grants are awarded through a competitive process. Submittal does not guarantee funding. Final determination will be made by the Wisconsin Technical College System.

Employers who are interested in obtaining Workforce Advancement Training funds should call (920)924-3449 or e-mail training@morainepark.edu.
